A major collaboration between Dulux Australia, the national largest paint manufacturer (now part of Nippon Paint) has recently seen the introduction of a fully integrated, fully automated paint tinting facility. The facility, commissioned in 2019, has already moved to a three shift 24/7 operation in response to unprecedented demand and a significant increase in online ordering of both retail consumers and Contractors.
The 4.0 online system integrates both private & professional demands in total flexibility.
This facility featured a fully automated, closed process system for medium to small batches between 500/2000 liters. Key outputs of this development could be measured in high flexibility, reduced space, capital cost reduction, labor reduction and short process time as well as no left overs of paint unsold or remaining from bigger batches.
