The international challenge

Luca Drocco, son of the founder and CEO of DromontGroup, proudly remembers the years in which he took the first steps towards an international expansion, carrying on the teachings of his father and bringing abroad a revolutionary concept of business model, both in terms of logistic organization and profit goals.

“At the end of the 80’s we were able to say to potential customers: you don’t need stock anymore, you can produce semi-finished colors and mix them on-demand”.

Since the first huge project in Australia, the Group’s expansion has reached challenging markets in Europe, USA and Asia, becoming a global leader, with a strong link with its Italian roots and original vision of excellence and integrity.

“My father skifully set new standards in the coating in-plant dispensing and in-store tinting sector, building a company that focuses on excellence, both on a professional and personal level. That has been my background ever since I was a student, it is my DNA”.

This soon fed into the Concept Engineering Program.

Offering significant benefits to retailers in terms of cost and inventory reduction there also existed a strong need to provide consumers with quality accurately dispensed product.  The DromontGroup expanded its reach in the sector creating machines and solutions with unrivalled quality of equipment and build, color accuracy and ease of operation. An endless pursuit of excellence is seen in today’s cutting edge machines, which are self cleaning, maintenance free with the highest levels of speed and accuracy in the industry.

4. Becoming Group

In 2012, the acquisition of the Comec Company– since 1970 the Italian foremost designer and manufacturer of milling, dispersing and filling equipment– marked an increase of revenue by 40%, adding a flagship manufacturing site with an experienced workforce and enabling the Group’s rising configuration to provide a new fully inclusive offer to its industrial production partners

5. A New Concept of Consulting

As the internal development of smart consulting services rapidly increased this Concept Engineering as it was now known was soon augmented by a further key skill set. Investment Analytics provides an inclusive business modelling service  that goes far beyond production to include purchasing, scheduling and inventory planning. The ability to partner with Finance and Corporate functions to plan customers’ return on investment and capital models has also become key.

Most recently added to Concept Engineering and Investment Anaalytics programs comes the latest introduction of skills Artificial Intelligence. Specifically introduced  in the manufacturing processes Ai completes a full set of high service features. These features and programs have all now been bundled together under the Qoncept brand of services.

7. Today is Tomorrow

Expanding far beyond its Italian roots, DromontGroup has become a truly international company, with export based sales accounting for over 90% of the total revenue.
