Founded in 1987 by the Drocco family near the medieval city of Alba, today the DromontGroup is headed by owner and CEO Luca Drocco, son of the founder, who passionately drives the company to develop game-changing business-to-business proprietary technologies and smart solutions, in a perfect balance between local heritage and global innovation thinking.
A deep link with the Territory
As a visionary yet grounded family man, Luca Drocco is actively supported by his wife and business lawyer Sara.
Together with their children the Drocco’s are a well known family in the area with a deep love for the Langhe area of Piedmont, recognized as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, and a strong desire to support the local community and environment they live in. One of their long-term projects has been the planting and creating of an organic based vineyard for their future generations to enjoy.
Expanding our Business
With the acquisition of Comec company in 2012, the Group has also rooted its presence and identity in Canossa (RE), Emilia Romagna. This region is an established mechanical industrial district, internationally known as MotorValley, for the high concentration of food and packaging machinery, prestigious car and motorcycles makers and motor racing tracks, high expression of superior manufacturing and engineering.
